Garage Issue 5

Garage Issue #5 is now available, again, and you can download the PDF version of the music zine below. This issue focus’ on Chris Knox, with editor Richard Langston hitch-hiking to Auckland at the time to interview him, while the cover is a photo of Chris Knox from his Enemy days. There is also noticeably more of an international feel to the zine with articles on Jesus and The Mary Chain, Cramps and Roky Erickson.

Richard Langston and Roger Shepherd go head to head in this week’s issue of Volume Magazine (dedicated to our 30th Anniversary) Talking Heads section, where they talk about how it all began and music journalism in New Zealand in the mid-1980s. Listen to the full audio of the conversation here.

Richard Langston has also compiled another podcast to accompany the issue, appropriately featuring a selection of Tall Dwarfs tracks as well as The Clean, The Bats and Jean-Paul Sartre Experience and many more.
